Project Manager Dwight Evans Named Top Three Finalist for Project Manager of the Year
Alexandria, VA – December 18, 2009
CMI Management, Inc. (CMI) is pleased to announce that one of our Project Managers, Dwight Evans, was selected as a Top Three Finalist for the PMI Project Manager of the Year Award (PMOTY) 2009. As a finalist, he was invited to speak at the PM Tools Session at the Sheraton Premiere at Tysons Corner prior to the PMI Meeting on Tuesday, December 15th. Dwight presented a project overview and spoke on managing sub-projects. Dwight is the Project Manager for CMI’s Records Services Support Contract for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services at the Department of Homeland Security.
The PMOTY Award recognizes project management professionals who apply effective methodologies and leadership to their projects, resulting in success. This is the second annual award.
Project Management Institute, Washington, DC Chapter (PMIWDC) received 43 nominations for the 2009 PMOTY. Those who passed the evaluation criteria and received top scoring progressed to the final rounds.
The three finalists have each led project efforts involving budgets of hundreds of millions of dollars, navigated through even the most challenging of waters, and have ultimately handled themselves with the utmost professionalism and poise. These finalists represent the professional caliber to which all project professionals aspire.
