CMI Program Manager Receives Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate

Alexandria, VA – January 4, 2010

CMI Management, Inc. (CMI) is pleased to announce that one of our Program Managers, Dwight Evans, recently received his Villanova Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate.

Developed in 1981, Six Sigma is a business management strategy that seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects and minimizing variability in business processes.  It uses a set of quality management methods and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization who are experts in these methods.  Six Sigma borrows martial arts ranking terminology to define a hierarchy among these experts.  By Six Sigma definition, Green Belts are employees who take up Six Sigma implementation along with their other job responsibilities.
